In this towering image that rises 2.5 meters above the spectator, complex overlapping planes are unified by areas of flat color. The white halo and birds around the figure create a strong focal point. The highly unorthodox design was not enthusiastically received in Glasgow art circles but was widely acclaimed in Germany and Austria.
