M. T. Cicero’s Cato Major, or his Discourse of Old-Age: With Explanatory Notes, 1744. Cato Major is one of the first classics of Latin literature to have been translated and printed in the American colonies. Franklin was an avid admirer of Caslon’s fonts and used them extensively.
